Please be advised the Perley Rideau does not offer respite beds.
Respite care offers temporary, substitute living arrangements or special care in the home for adults with disabilities in order to provide a brief period of relief or rest (usually more than twenty-four hours) for the family members, guardians or other people who are their regular caregivers. (Champlain LHIN).

Guest House
The Guest House is a home-like 12-bedroom bungalow providing short and long-term respite care ranging from a few hours a day to a couple of weeks.
The program is designed for individuals with early to mid-stage dementia,. Residents can stay for a maximum of 90 days per year and those days do not have to be consecutive days.
Admission Process
Home and Community Care, Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is responsible for determining eligibility.
