Family and Friends Council (FFC)

The Mission of the Family and Friends Council [FFC] is to improve the quality of life for all residents by promoting an atmosphere of compassionate care and support amongst family members, friends, volunteers and staff. Participation is open to residents and/or former residents’ family members and substitute decision-makers.

The Council works closely with management to represent the interests of long-term care residents and their families.

The Council meets monthly, except July, August and December. Meetings provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about life at Perley Rideau, share experiences and provide support for one another.

For further information on meetings, please check the Family and Friends Notice Board outside the Pharmacy on the first floor of the Health Centre, email or view the Activity Calendars on each Unit.
