ASSISTANT CO-ORDINATOR, ALS-HRS and TENANT RELATIONS
Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Reporting to the Director, Community Outreach and Programming the Assistant Co-ordinator, Assisted Living Services for High Risk Seniors and Tenant Relations, will be responsible for maintaining the ALS-HRS program in the absence of the Co-ordinator, as well as providing the Tenant Relations aspects required for the Seniors’ Housing apartments. The incumbent must be able to perform aspects required to have these programs function. The incumbent will routinely assist in the provision of leadership, planning, co-ordination, and evaluation of the 24-hour service for 90 frail seniors in their own homes, and for the tenants in the 139 apartments. The primary aspects of these positions are client assessment; service provision; customer service; tenant relations; scheduling and scheduling adjustments of staff and clients; file and inventory management; and, implementing and managing data management systems at an advanced level. The incumbent for an Assistant Co-ordinator position will have a degree or diploma in Health, Gerontology, Social Services or a related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the healthcare/community field working with seniors. Strong clinical skills, customer service, data management/computer skills and previous supervisory experience are essential. This position requires on call responsibilities, flexible work hours, and the use of a dependable vehicle, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Bilingualism and knowledge of RAI-MDS a definite asset.
