Gordon Stock, Board Member

Gordon is a member of the Board of Directors at the Perley Rideau. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 30 years experience in performance audit as well as financial audit and administration.

After working in television production and financial administration he received his Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University.  He joined the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) and became a Chartered Accountant in 1991. 

Gordon worked on numerous high profile and government wide audits during his career at the OAG. These included the Canadian Firearms Program and the Government’s response to attacks on September 11 through the 2001 Anti-Terrorism Initiative. He led audits examining the security and intelligence sector, the RCMP, Canada Border Services Agency, the Correctional Service of Canada, the Department of Justice, Search and Rescue, numerous audits of National Defence including shipbuilding, and hosted an international conference of auditors on the Joint Strike Fighter (F35) program.  He was also responsible for leading audits of the administration of the House of Commons and the Senate, and more recently the audit of Senators’ expenses. He retired from the OAG in 2017.
