Long-Term Care Resident

Supplementary Care

This program addresses the needs of residents who have stable medical conditions, but with some physical impairment that impacts on their mobility and ability to ambulate.  Some residents may have cognitive impairments and some may have social issues requiring various types of interventions on an individualized basis.  Resident limitations require minimal to moderate assistance to undertake activities of daily living.

Enhanced Care

This program addresses the very diverse needs of residents with a range of mental and physical abilities, who are unable to perform many activities of daily living due to physical and/or cognitive impairment. Some residents may experience long-term unstable medical conditions requiring symptom management and frequent care plan adjustment.

Special Approach Program

This program provides a therapeutic and supportive long-term care environment to residents who are affected by dementia with associated behaviours as well as physical and functional limitations.  The program focuses on providing a safe and secure environment as well as managing these limitations and behaviours to enable the residents to maintain a qualitative lifestyle.
